One-Day Zen “Discover” Program
The One-day Zen Discover Program is intended for those with little or no experience in meditation but who are curious about the basics and the benefits of meditation practice. Participants will come away with a taste of the Zen tradition that includes sitting and walking meditation, Dharma talks (focusing on the teachings of the Buddha), and a glimpse of life in a Zen Buddhist Monastery. A vegetarian lunch is provided together with the instruction in the monastic-style of eating that is practiced during the 3-day and 7-day retreats.
The One-day Zen Discover Program offers a well-planned first step in learning meditation and the basics of Zen. No experience is necessary as easy-to-follow instructions guide participants through the practice from the beginning to the end of each session.
